Radiator Seal

  • For use in older type cooling systems WITHOUT dirt strainers.
  • Würth Radiator seal uses organic particles to stop leaks so it will not attack rubber, plastics or light alloys.
  • Seals hairline cracks, leaking hose connections, pinholes in radiators, engine blocks and cylinder heads.
  • Can be mixed with all conventional glycol based anti freezes and coolant additives.
  • Ideal for emergency cooling system repairs to prevent the loss of coolant and over heating.
  • Will not cause blockages to radiator cores or heater matrixes.
  • Can be used at every coolant change as a pre-emptive measure.
  • For best results shake can well and add to warm coolant, ensuring heater valves are open (heater controls set to hot).

Uses

Radiator Seal should be used in the following situations:

  • For hairline cracks in radiator, engine block or cylinder head.
  • In the event of leaking hose connections.
  • In the even of defective head gaskets. Mixes with all conventional antifreezes and coolants.
  • Also suitable for closed cooling systems.

Application

Shake the can well before use. Add contents of can to warm coolant. Open heating valves and run engine for at least 10 minutes. Check coolant level and inspect for leaks.

Dosage

Sufficient for 10 litres of coolant. Maximum mixture ration for lorries is 1 to 100.

Caution

If there are any dirt strainers in the cooling system, such as in modern cross flow cooling systems, Radiator Seal must not be used as the strainers will get clogged which can result in radiator failure and thus damage to the engine. Radiator Seal HP (0893 555) Should be used in this situation.
