Welding FWB
Welding Brochure

Centred at the heart of many industries, welding is a fabrication process where two or morepieces of metal or thermoplastics are fused and melted together by heating them at a high temperature.

Welding allows components to create strong and permanent bonds as the base of the material melts themselves, unlike brazing or soldering. The over all quality of a weld has indicating factors, such as the temperature, speed, technique and how well the area is protected from contaminants like oxygen for instance. Some welding processes require a filler in order to reinforce joints, whereas others solely rely on the base of the metals themselves, so whether it’s a simple repair or and advanced fabrication, welding enables the creation and reinforcement of countless metal structures and components.

Summary of key benefits:

  • Creates permanent, strong bond that can withstand heavy loads/vibrations/harsh conditions
  • Allows the ability of repairs and fabrications
  • Boots efficiency and productivity
  • Compatible with a variety of metals (steel, aluminium, stainless steel, specialised alloys)
